While I don't condone ageism in general, I'm okay with it with regards those in politics. We need people in power who are old enough to have earned a bit a wisdom and perspective, but young enough to be clued in on the zeitgeist and have skin in the game.

Having said that, Biden's starting to sound like a pretty good person to have in the driver's seat and Bernie Sanders seem to have some good ideas, so maybe it's just a question of us as a society learning how to filter out bad eggs...
