What if humanity turns out to consist of many groups of people with diametrically opposed values and concepts of reality? Do minorities simply have to submit to the will and ideological constructs of the majority? Better yet, what if everyone is polarized to the point where the majority of us are fundamentalists who believe that we should submit to the will of our AI overlords?

On that note, would the AIs not then be incentivized to manipulate human beings' thoughts and perceptions towards such a world?
