This is a great tutorial, thank you for helping me rescue my 2013 MacBook Pro! It's too old to do basic work, or even connect to my wifi, and too old for trade-in or sale, so I was worried that I now owned an expensive brick - but I'm now running the latest Ubuntu and the experience is surprisingly solid.

While I couldn't get Kinto installed and after playing around with Tweaks eventually decided to leave the keys "standard", everything else was smooth sailing!
