Reading this statement is horrifying to me, because the best offensive here is offensive in nature. If the Chinese disinformation campaigns aren't being actively countered with western "re-education" campaigns - campaigns to actively fight the brainwashing that the Chinese people are continuously undergoing from birth, along with their psyops programmes to convince the west that capitalism is evil - then the US (and the rest of the western world) will perpetually be on the back foot. In information warfare, if you're on the back foot, you've practically lost the battle, and for *generations* the west has been losing the disinformation war without even realizing it's been involved.

The BRICS countries have been collaborating for decades now, and the madness that we've been seeing over the past year on the internet and on the streets is the harbinger of terrible things to come if we don't learn how to counter their psyops programmes.

If we don't get a handle on things soon, our civilization is going to be in big trouble... and the scariest part of that? All the educated western, liberal people - including here on Medium - who've been so thoroughly manipulated that they believe that that might not be such a bad thing.
