It's so bizarre reading this, I use Linux (a variety of distributions) all the time but on VMs or containerized - a few months ago I was convinced to try Linux on my host machine and the experience was so awful that after four days of troubleshooting I switched back to Windows and found that relative to MacOS and Linux, *that* just works. I'm not a fan of Windows at all, but if I have to choose between the three it's definitely better than Linux and roughly on par with MacOS.
