I’m not expecting anyone to be completely unbiased, I’m calling out the fact that he’s influencing an enormous number of people by virtue of the fact that he’s made a name for himself as “open-minded”, when in at least the two cases I’ve pointed out he’s actually quite extreme. I’ve enjoyed many excerpts from his podcasts and I love (most of) his comedy specials (as a vegan, I totally loved and appreciated his take on vegan cats), and I agree that his show’s format and attitude is what’s great about him.

I really don’t disagree with your comparison to other media. Personally, I’ve been off regular media for many years (over the course of the past two decades I’ve opened a random newspaper once every few years — in multiple countries — only to be disappointed every time, and I can't stand mainstream news channels regardless of their political leanings) and I wouldn’t even bother mentioning Rogan in the same breath as the disgusting cesspool that’s traditionally informed many more people than are good for us as a species.
