I don't know how far we are from AI - no matter how strong - bearing a real semblance of "intelligence", though the tools are very useful and are becoming more exciting every day (I just had a wild experience with NotebookLM, it's really blowing my mind how good it is: https://therightstuff.medium.com/googles-notebooklm-is-insanely-good-145dfa5d40a2).

While I agree with some of your sentiments, I have a feeling you might want to hedge your bets a little. There's a chance that if AI proves too disruptive, or dangerous, or the cost of transitioning to a world with that kind of technology is too high, humans might agree to shut down and ban AI, even if only temporarily to give us a chance to prepare ourselves.
