After growing up with a decade of MSDOS and having almost completely skipped Windows 3.11, I'll never forget the thrill of installing Windows 95 for the first time - nor the shock and laughter at all the people lining up to purchase something that they didn't even know required a computer because the promotions were so wildly effective!

As much as we all recall the bad old days of the frequent BSoD, this article really brings back fond memories of an OS that really was a game-changer - thanks for that :)
