Honestly, I feel like this is a class-action suit waiting to happen. If they refuse to honor their warranty claiming that we didn't shut down / hibernate our laptops when it's reasonable to assume that it's safe to transport a sleeping device, they're clearly in the wrong. Unless they posted a warning in big, bold letters visible on the packaging, because nobody *actually* reads all the terms and conditions and our legal systems know that.
It intrigues me no end that as harmful as eating seafood has become due to excessively high mercury levels across all ocean species, we continue to consume it like there's no tomorrow - which, ironically, there won't be for us if we don't stop. We are literally fishing our oceans clear of all life and we're doing it at staggering speed.
It's so much easier to eat a more plant-based diet these days, we have so much better information about how to eat healthier and that plant-based is healthier for almost everyone, that it perpetually amazes me that so many environmentally-minded people aren't aware of the impact of our food choices or don't promote a change that really could turn things around for all of us.
I've never noticed this! A few years ago a dentist sent me on a deep dive into dental care with regards optimal times to brush one's teeth, and I learned that it's actually really important to brush before eating or drinking anything in the morning in order to enjoy the protective effect of the fluoride and avoid brushing away enamel that's been softened by acidic things like coffee or orange juice.
